The first words I heard this morning were: "Its going to be -28 today, but it will feel much colder." I decided not to get up.

Its a Wonderful Night
So for the past four days I've been laying on my couch trying to feel better. I can't believe how much this head cold took out of me. It started as just a cough and snowballed into me being sicker than I have been in a long time. Tonight I am finally feeling more like myself. Every day I have been wanting to watch a Christmas movie. I mean as long as it is snowing outside (-20) and I am in here laying on the couch why not try to still get in the Christmas spirit! The Blockbuster down the street from us seemed to be out of Christmas movies and until tonight I have been sadly disappointed with TV's options. BUT tonight the classic "Its a Wonderful Life" was on. Andy had never seen it, and watching it has always been a tradition for my family. Needless to say it turned into a 'wonderful night'. I know its an old movie, but there is something so sweet and touching about the message. I find myself crying when Harry gives the final toast or Annie empties out her secret money jar. It is a movie about love and family, and it was a perfect way to get me feeling a bit better. Andy, who has been attempting to accomplish missions, salvage information, and destroy the death star today, took a break and enjoyed the movie with me. All in all a great night.

Let is snow, Let it snow, Let is snow!!!
I can't pretend anymore that its still Autumn. Today we drove our car out of the parking garage into a winter wonderland. It is beautiful...but wet, cold, icy, and did I mention cold? No seriously it is beautiful here today. We came home from church, driving ever so slowly, but enjoying the view. We have no where to go and lots of hot chocolate, so today should be one of those lovely winter days!!!

Kindergarten Engineer
So some people say that a good guy is hard to find. That may be true for some, but all I know is that I found a great one!!! Today Andy had the day off while I had to go to Kindergarten. Another fun filled day of painting, coloring, and story time for me! But today was a bit different it included and one more special event. Just for the fun of it we had arranged for Andy to bring his guitar to class and sing Christmas carols with my kids. I wanted my class to meet my handsome husband, but truthfully I really wanted Andy to see the cute kids I keep telling him about. He was able to experience first hand just how adorable they are. For instance we were talking about guitars and where the kids had seen them before. I was expecting answers such as church and older brothers and sisters or maybe even on TV, but the answer I received first was "I've seen guitar hero." We also had to sing Jingle Bells six times just so each child had a chance to ring the bells. One child was so excited that she was bouncing up and down in the first row, one was upset about not knowing all the words so sat there just frowning, and finally one was trying so hard to learn the words that he sang each song with his brow furrowed. All in all they loved it!! Andy stayed for story time and got to participate in such activities as opening apple sauce for a little girl and helping another one put on her gloves. (Gloves seem to be particularly difficult) We had lots of fun and I think he might just be asked back :)
