(as i'm writing this and trying to capture my thoughts accurately, my wife is yelling "just write it and press 'go'.")
Carla and i bought the dvds of the short lived tv series 'Firefly' a couple weeks ago. it was better than i was expecting, and i have to say i was expecting a lot. it makes me sad that i didn't watch it while it was on tv, but the fans rallied around the show and it was still canceled, so i guess it doesn't really matter. regardless, i was happy to watch it and have ordered the two comic book series that bridge the story from the end of the show to the movie.
has anyone out there ever met Pete Sakes? me neither, but the way the Carrozziere girls talk about him, you'd think he was a close cousin. every other sentence over Christmas break, somebody was doing something for Pete Sakes. i ventured to suggest to Carla the other night that she might try doing something for Pete's sake. blank stare...
my guitar had a crack in the neck! my Martin. it broke my heart, but the guy at the store repaired the crack and my heart with a little glue and polish. there's a lesson here. don't get too attached to your personal possessions, you never know when you'll move to a dry climate and find them cracked even though you bought a humidifier to prevent that very thing.
pitchers and catchers report in ten days. bring it on.
congrats to Rachel Carrozziere, Rochester's newest equity actress. i was also interested to learn this has nothing to do with buying a house.
lastly, a saw. we still had our Christmas tree on our porch. waiting to be taken down to our car and hauled off to some place that takes them. but then you've got a trail of pine needles leading all the way from the parking garage down the hall right to our door. i decided to buy a saw and chop that sucker up. i'm starting to settle into my role as a husband, i think.
